The "display_objects" Directory - Mura Docs v7.0

The "display_objects" Directory

Mura offers a wide-range of unique display object types which can be used to either enhance your layout, or even add functionality to your site. Mura's display objects allow you to quickly and easily add elements such as Collections, Components, Forms, and navigational aids.

Each site in Mura has a "display_objects" directory located under {context}/{SiteID}/includes/display_objects/. This directory contains several other sub-directories, which represent the display objects found within Mura.

Note: You should not edit these files directly. If you do, you run the risk of losing your edits or changes whenever you update your site to the latest version.

Developers may customize existing display objects, or even create custom display objects, unique to your organization's needs such as a stock ticker, and even create full-blown applications to be embedded within a single page or an entire section of your site. You can learn more about creating custom display objects in the Mura Developer Guide.
